***If you answer "yes" to one or more of the following questions, then the "Joyful Women Flying Solo Workshop" can benefit you!***

Are you feeling incomplete or “less than” without a romantic partner in your life?

At this workshop we will de-bunk negative myths about being single, and you will learn how to shift limiting beliefs that feed into that incomplete feeling to positive, affirming beliefs that allow you to truly embrace your solo status and go for your dreams now.

Are you uncomfortable being alone with yourself without the distractions of food, drink, TV, the computer, or phone calls? Are you uncomfortable going out or doing things alone, including traveling, going out to eat, or to a movie?

You will gain confidence and peace by learning how to re-connect with and build your relationship with yourself. You will gain appreciation of yourself and comfort with being in your own company.

Have you been settling for less than what you really want in your current relationship, but are afraid to let go for fear of hurting the other person? Do you often do what others want verses what you really want?

You will gain clarity on what you really want as a solo flyer, and what you need to be at your best. You will also learn tools to help you stay true to yourself now, whether you're in a relationship or not.

Reclaim your power to live a JOY FILLED life NOW, regardless of outside conditions – e.g. having or not having a relationship, or what others think about you. Take this opportunity to get connected to and nourish the most important relationship in your life – the one with yourself, while bonding with amazing like-minded women! Walk away with specific concrete steps and tools to feel more peaceful and alive everyday.

For once in my life I didn't come with expectations (really just trusting in Barbara) but knowing I was "supposed to be there." It was enriching, nourishing, regenerating, nurturing and healing. Thank you Barbara and new friends. - Raye Rufty, Asheville, NC (May 2008 workshop participant)

FAQs:

How do you define “single”?

You haven’t been married yet, or you are divorced, or a widow. You may also be dating someone but haven’t decided whether or not you want to “commit”.

Is this workshop going to teach me that I shouldn’t want a relationship? Do we sit around and bash men?

No, not at all! This workshop is focused on how you can feel happy everyday, whether there’s a partner in your life or not, by focusing on developing your relationship with yourself. The happier you are with yourself, the less attached you are to being in a relationship, and if you're in a relationship, the better partner you'll be.

How old are the women attending this workshop?

There is no limit on age. I anticipate there will be women from 25 to 60 with most being in their 30s-50s.

How many women will be attending this workshop?

Due to the intimate nature of this workshop, and wanting each woman to receive individualized attention, I will be limiting attendance to nine wonderful women.

What are we going to do all day?

We will blend being and doing; connecting, sharing, journaling, and reflecting. You will have time to write, talk, listen, and expand on the wisdom you already possess through inidividual processes and group coaching and discussion. If you normally talk a lot, I will encourage you to listen more. And if you're normally quiet, I'll encourage you to talk more.

What do we get to eat?

Based on varying dietary preferences, each person is on their own for lunch, drinks and snacks. There is a common refirgerator you can use to store food.

Barbara Brady is the happiest single person that I know! She is comfortable in her own skin, clear about what she wants for her life and instigates fun wherever she goes. I have no doubt this workshop will be authentic, rich, juicy and transformational for the women who attend! - Elizabeth Barbour, Life Coach, former Ashevillian now living in Tallahassee, FL

I am very excited to be facilitating this workshop! My background includes 10 years of group facilitation, 7 years of personal coaching, certification as a communication skills trainer, participation in numerous personal and spiritual growth workshops, and a spirit of adventure, which includes solo travel and living in Asia and Europe. I have been blessed with relationships that have enhanced and enriched my life. At the same time, after years of looking outside myself for happiness through relationships, I have learned to create happiness within myself as a solo woman flyer, AND am a work in progress, constantly learning and evolving! I love to share my love of the spiritual and sensual with like-hearted female travelers in life…if you want to learn more, please call me and/or peruse this website.

You exceeded my expectations (and they were high!) You provided a literal and metaphorical open space, yet comforting. - Barbara Cerridwen, Swannanoa, NC (May 2008 workshop participant)

Loved the interaction, workshop was pivotal to creating a forum for some inner work. Helped me to delve into areas that I had not ventured into - or I had treaded lightly! - Susan Newton, Waynesville, NC (May 2008 workshop participant)

Anyone interested in this experience should do it because they find such common strains and yet new and different inspirations by people who are equally interested in this sort of experience. - Meg May, Weaverville, NC (May 2008 workshop participant)
